Efe Özkan is a Turkish composer and conductor who began his musical education with piano at the age of four. He completed his secondary education at Avni Akyol Fine Arts High School, Department of Music. He is currently pursuing his undergraduate studies in Composition at the Faculty of Art and Design, Yıldız Technical University. At the same time, he is enrolled in the university’s graduate program, working on a thesis titled “Klasik Batı Müziğinde Dijital Devrimin Orkestra Şefliği ve Bestecilik Pratiklerine Etkisi” (“The Impact of the Digital Revolution on Conducting and Compositional Practices in Classical Music”).
In addition to his academic focus on composition and conducting, Özkan is also active in the field of media music. He works professionally on the adaptation and licensing of music used in various television productions.
Özkan also plays an active role in artistic event management. He serves as the Concert Hall Coordinator for Canis Majoris, a concert series dedicated to student compositions at Yıldız Technical University, and recently took part as Stage Coordinator in the Journey of Sound – Young Composers Festival.
Alongside his musical endeavors, Özkan is also engaged in entrepreneurship. He is the founder and owner of oyunekipman.com, an e-commerce brand that operates in the field of gaming equipment.
